Position Hours: M-F, 30 hours per week/following student contact days
Location: Tower-Soudan Elementary, Tower, MN 

Position Description:
This opportunity provides direct academic support to students in the American Indian Education Program and will work with a caseload of students as assigned by the program Director. This position will also work closely under the guidance of the Director to achieve the department goals of meeting the diverse educational and cultural needs of American Indian Students. This position requires the ability to work independently at times, with minimal supervision.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate’s Degree, 60 college credits, or ability to pass the para pro exam
  • Experience working directly with children or young adults.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 2 or more years of experience working in a direct student contact role in a K-12 setting or counseling position preferred.
  • Previous knowledge or understanding of American Indian culture, and experience working with students of American Indian descent is preferred.
