Monticello High School is looking for a dynamic educator who is motivated to join our team and continue to create opportunities for students. This position is a full-time Career Technical Education teaching position that will work with other CTE teachers, career coordinators, and administration to enhance and build our programming. The ideal candidate is licensed by the State of Minnesota in either Agricultural Education or Technology; a Work-Based Learning endorsement is strongly preferred. We are looking to support work-based learning opportunities, expand offerings, and facilitate career and technical learning, and industry experiences both inside and outside the 9-12 grade classroom. We are seeking applicants with classroom experience who have CTE licensure, experiences, and/or training in any Career Technical Education field.  The candidate should be a strong team player, be creative in their approach to CTE, and be excited about developing a robust and sustainable CTE programming, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and be a strong communicator.
 
Licensure:

  • Current Agriculture Education teaching license for the State of Minnesota
  • Current Coordinator Work Basked Learning teaching license for the State of Minnesota

 
Essential Skills Required:

  • Understanding of the Minnesota Academic Standards for content area
  • Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district
  • Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning
  • Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families
  • Experience working with diverse students and families – experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred
