Description

East Range Academy of Technology of Science (ERATS) is searching for a 1.0 FTE health and physical education teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates must hold a valid Minnesota Teaching License or will have a license by the employment start date.

ERATS is a Minnesota public charter school located in Mt. Iron.  The school is in a new building and services about 150 students in grades 9-12.  ERATS has been in operation since 2007 and is authorized by Osprey Wilds. www.mnerats.org

Duties for All Staff:
Attend all staff meetings and professional development training

Actively participate in the recruitment of students

Includes organizing and participating in enrollment opportunities

Includes formal and informal events and educational opportunities

Work with businesses, colleges, and community members to provide student opportunities

Act as a school representative at professional functions as needed

Be professional by being on time for school, classes, and meetings and managing absences

Adhere to East Range Academy of Technology & Science policies and procedures

Teacher Duties :

Regularly check on target students’ attendance, grades, and behavior, provide regular feedback to students, communicate regularly with families, and initiate efforts to keep youth engaged in school

Collaborate with teachers for standard-based curriculum

Communicate regularly with teachers to gather and share information about student progress

Determine and document student progress on a regular basis (i.e. input grades, maintain contact logs, document attendance)

Attend staff meetings and student meetings

Communicate in a timely manner- acknowledge and/or respond to students, families, school personnel, phone messages, and email within 24 hours

Serve as a positive role model to students, staff, and parents
