Description
Cannon Falls Area School is searching for a highly qualified candidate to lead our Fall Varsity Cheerleading program.
Â
Qualifications:
* Preferred to hold a valid coaching certification with Bachelor’s degree, or the ability to obtain MSHSL certification.
*Â Has the ability to organize and supervise a total cheerleading program while implementing long-term program wide plans and goals.
*Â Previous successful Head coaching experience is encouraged, but not required.
*Â Must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of cheer, as well as the ability to successfully teach skills and strategy to student-athletes.
*Â Must communicate well with all stakeholders: student-athletes, coaches, parents, and Administration.
*Â Must keep clear and accurate statistics for the Varsity program.

Reports to:
The Activities Director and Administration from Cannon Falls Area School.
Â
Supervises:
Any Assistant Coaches (paid and volunteer), as well as overseeing the complete and total Cheerleading program.
Â
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Â Teaches the fundamental skills and techniques to all players and any coaches.
*Â Teaches with enthusiasm and strives for success, as well as sportsmanship, values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, self-confidence, and self-control.
*Â Understands and accepts the proper line of command, and refers all requests and grievances through proper channels.
*Â Understands and accepts purpose vs goal, as well as teaching with a transformational approach to all student-athletes in the program.

* Â Background check
* Â Approval from Administration
* Â Approval from Cannon Falls Area School Board
