Waconia Public Schools is looking for candidates dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to explore their passions and create their success! A fast-growing school district located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schools serves more than 4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany. School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12).
Position Description: The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a recognition, interest, and respect for the needs of students. Under the direction of the Activities Director, the Head Hockey Coach will develop a comprehensive hockey program that includes the following:
Work Schedule: Varies, Monday-Friday (Part-Time)
Requirements: Completion of the MSHSL’s Coaches Education Requirements: https://www.mshsl.org/sites/default/files/2023-07/Summary%20of%20Coaches%20Education%20Requirements%2023-24.pdf. Prior experience is preferred.
Salary: Compensation will be in accordance with the School District’s extracurricular salary schedule.
