SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has a full-time opening for an .75 FTE ALC Teacher in our New Beginnings program at the East Creek Family Center and supporting our CLAS Program at our 401 Education Center in Chaska, MN.

Description: ALC Teacher, 8 hours a day for 185 Contract Days. This positions focus is on helping at the East Creek Family Center New Beginnings program by teaching parenting and fatherhood classes and then at the 401 building with supporting our CLAS Program for students working independently as well as working with 45-day placement students from member districts.
Educate, plan, teach, facilitate, and evaluate students. Assist them in putting together a portfolio to achieve the certification.
Job Summary:
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
Qualifications:
- Minnesota Teaching License (Willing to support Special Permissions, OFPs and Waivers)
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.
Pay & Benefits:
