ESY Paraprofessional (Multiple Positions)

Effective Date:
  7/8/24 through 8/01/24

Hours:
    3.5 hours/day, 3 or 4 days/week

Salary:
   Class III starting at $20.00 per hour

Required Education:
    High School Diploma (preferred) and two years post secondary education (preferred)

Required Experience:
   Experience working with children, in an educational setting (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementation of assigned tasks including instruction and assisting students academically
• Monitor student’s skills of independence and implementation of classroom of individual behavior management programs
• Assist with daily living activities
• Communicate student’s progress with case managers

Physical Requirements:
  Must have the ability to pass a pre-work physical exam including the following requirements

• Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have ability to push/pull equipment including standers, wheelchairs, etc
• Must have ability to repetitively reach overhead
• Must have ability to repetitively transfer to/from the floor
• Must have ability to kneel
