Description

We will hire multiple ESP’s to perform one or more of the following tasks:

Uninstall / install various classroom technology equipment, including ceiling-mounted projectors, large wall-mounted monitors, classroom amplification systems, document cameras, computers, and other peripheral equipment; move equipment as needed.

Perform physical inventory and apply asset tags to various classroom technology equipment, including ceiling-mounted projectors, large wall-mounted monitors, classroom amplification systems, document cameras, computers, and other peripheral equipment. Record required information on a spreadsheet or in the asset tracking software.  Confirm existing asset management records. 

Install and test various classroom technology, including ceiling-mounted projectors, large wall-mounted monitors, classroom amplification systems, document cameras, computers, and other peripheral equipment; pull and connect various cables, some of which will be above the ceiling grid; move equipment as needed. Ensure that classroom technology is properly installed and working to enable teaching and learning. Provide user support for standard application software.

Perform all aspects of iPad/Chromebook repair processing including prompt collection of defective items, updating internal and vendor-shared records pertaining to iPad/Chromebook repair or replacement (including tracking spreadsheets and Destiny resource management records), and prompt delivery of repaired/replaced iPad/Chromebook back to schools, working closely with the iPad/Chromebook techs at the schools and inventory control at the ESC. Perform some troubleshooting tasks on iPads/Chromebooks and clean iPads/Chromebooks as needed. 

Perform all aspects of Windows computer re-image processing including prompt collection of computers, updating internal and vendor-shared records pertaining to repair or replacement (including tracking spreadsheets and Destiny resource management records), and prompt delivery of re-imaged computers back to schools, working closely with the Tech Support Specialists and inventory control. Perform some troubleshooting tasks on computers, clean computers as needed, and relocate computers as required to retire older computers. 

Summer Project team that will be hired for:

  • Elementary iPad Decommissioning and Staff iPad Deployment (June 10 – June 28) – 2 positions
  • Student iPads Prep (July 8 – July 12) – 2 positions
  • Desktop Refresh – Old Device Prep (June 10 – June 18) – 2 positions
  • Desktop Refresh – Prep New Desktops (July 15 – July 23) – 4 positions
  • Desktop Refresh – Deploy New Desktops (July 29 – Aug 16) – 4 positions
  • Digital Display Installation (July 1- Aug 22)- 3 positions
  • High School / Middle School Site Preparation (Aug 12 – Aug 22) – 3 positions
  • ESY Set Up (June 24th 9-11am, OAK & MGMS; July 1 OAK 8:30am-11:30am, MGMS 7am-10am) – 2 positions
  • Summer Tech ESP Substitute (June 10 – Aug 22 on call, as needed) – 4 positions (Staff who apply, should have relatively open summer schedules and be willing to support any roles listed above.)

Qualifications:

Required skills:

  • customer service skills. 
  • knowledge of computer operating systems (Windows 10, iOS) and basic hardware troubleshooting
  • skilled in connecting various classroom technologies to computers
  • operate small power tools – mechanical aptitude
  • operate a hand cart and possibly a pallet jack
  • work comfortably and safely while on a ladder
  • carry computers, monitors, and other equipment safely
  • frequently lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • read a building map
  • inventory control experience helpful
  • may be required to travel to different building sites during the workday

Job Type: Summer  – up 40 hours per week, may vary by week. (Approximately June 10, 2024 through September 20, 2024)

Salary: Starting at $19.43/hour per ESP contract.
