Position: Enrollment Center Coordinator
Work Schedule: 12 months

Pay: DOQ

Summary:
The Enrollment Center Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the overall management of student enrollment in District 622. The Coordinator will ensure that District 622 is meeting state guidelines regarding enrollment as well as optimal District funding and revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to students, parents, staff, and administration. This includes responding to phone, fax, mail, and email requests in a prompt and accurate manner. 
  • Assist families with the student registration process
  • Coordinate student registration, working closely with building clerical and counseling staff as well as Transportation and Student Services department staff
  • Maintain ongoing communication with buildings impacted by incoming or outgoing students
  • Implement Enrollment Center procedures and policies, communicating this information to pertinent District staff
  • Maintain and update necessary data within the District’s student information system to reflect must current and up to date information
  • Collaborate with Special Education Supervisors in the determination of placement for students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP)
  • Assist in coordinating possible EL screening for students whose registration information indicates a language other than English is spoken in the home
  • Update and maintain all enrollment packets for registration
  • Maintain and update Enrollment Center information on the District 622 website
  • Assist the appropriate Student Services Program Supervisor with receipt and processing of all Early Childhood Special Education student packets for enrollment into kindergarten Oversee the Early Entrance to Kindergarten enrollment testing process
  • Maintain spreadsheets for all schools’ open and maximum enrollments as well as pending enrollments for the upcoming school year
  • Maintain accurate Intra-District Transfer (IDT) and Open Enrollment (OE) files
  • Assist in getting proper IDTs or OEs to the appropriate Office Coordinators when students transition from 5th grade to 6th grade or moving students from 8th grade to 9th grade Receive and process the legal requirements and corresponding documents needed for enrollment
  • Assist as back-up support for the Welcome Desk receptionist Other duties as assigned
  • Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs Highly organized and flexible
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks, multi-tasking, and record-keeping
  • Self-motivated with the ability to function with minimal supervision Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience working in a K-12 environment
  • Prior experience working with student information systems such as Campus
