Community Education  Enrichment & Leisure Program Assistant Specialist

A position is available as a Community Education Enrichment & Leisure Program Assistant Specialist at Lincoln Community Center beginning May 20, 2024.  This is a full-time, 12 months, Non-affiliate position. 

Summary of Duties: 
Under the direction of the Enrichment and Leisure Program Coordinator, the position assists Program Specialists in the development and delivery of programming.  The position plays a pivotal role in delivering outstanding Enrichment + Leisure Services at Mankato Area Public Schools by ensuring a positive and seamless experience for students and instructors.

Qualifications Required: 

  • Any combination of education and/or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for satisfactory job performance would be qualifying. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.  
  • Pass a criminal background check 
  • Valid driver’s license and ensure availability to commute to the assigned work site as required.

Qualifications Preferred:
Demonstrate positive and effective working relationships with students, staff, administration and the school community. Maintain professional composure while dealing with a variety of personalities and situations. Communicate clearly and concisely in a professional manner.  Show initiative as a self-starter. Responsible for confidential information regarding children and families.

Hours:
Year-round position. 40 hours per week.  
M-Th 11 AM- 7:30 PM and  Friday- Sunday hours as scheduled. 
30 minute unpaid meal break.

Rate of Pay: 
Non-affiliate position
Category I benefit package
Starting pay is $19.00/hr
