Description
We are searching for a 1.0 FTE English Teacher to join our team at Shakopee High School. Not required, but priority will be given to applicants with theater background and experience, in the classroom and / or extracurricular. There may be additional paid positions available in the extra-curricular Theater department.
Job Summary:
Provides instruction in content area in accordance with each student’s ability, creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, works collaboratively with other staff members.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid MN teaching license in Language Arts or similar field
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction
- Strong classroom management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff
