Description
Twin Cities International Schools (TCIS) is now hiring for a full-time EL/ESL/ELL (English Language) Teacher for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year. Teacher will be working primarily with Middle School students (Grades 6-8) with occasional work with Elementary School students (Grades K-5) occurring as needed. Applicants must hold a valid Minnesota EL teaching license prior to classroom teaching. We are a public charter school located in the North Loop of Minneapolis with a student enrollment of approximately 1,000 (K-8) students and a large LEP population. The EL teacher will be responsible for teaching various groups of students, creating lesson plans, working with collaborative teams, engaging in clear communication with both staff and students and contributing positively to the learning and development of students. Experience with standards-based instruction, English Language Learners and common assessments a plus. A dual licensed, Elementary School Education and EL Licensure is preferred.

Additional benefits are also available for full-time employees, including medical and dental benefits (optional) and include coverage of employee, employee + 1 or family. Employee is responsible for a monthly insurance premium, depending on plan and coverage selected. Life Insurance/AD&D, along with Short-term and Long-term disability coverage, is provided by TCIS. Flex spending accounts for medical or dependent care are also available, but optional. TCIS requires enrollment in TRA (Teacher's Retirement Association) retirement plan for all licensed employees.
