Elementary Targeted Services Summer School Site Coordinator (2 Positions Available)

POSITION INFORMATION: This position requires leadership, communication, collaboration, organization, and flexibility. Program dates and times are July 7 – July 31, Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 2:00pm. The daily schedule for this position is 7:30am – 2:30pm. Elementary sites are Bailey Elementary and Cottage Grove Elementary.  Summer School planning and teacher professional development will occur on June 24 or June 26.

Compensation:
Salary schedule based on Teacher contract, $32/hour.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide oversight for all aspects of elementary Targeted Services programming at a summer school site.
 
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Coordinate communication with teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, nurses, nutrition services staff and transportation staff.
  2. Collaborate with the extended learning coordinator and other Targeted Services site coordinators.
  3. Manage sight set-up and closing.
  4. Monitor student attendance and the completion of Continual Learning Plan (CLP) forms.
  5. Organize and monitor supervision plans for safe and orderly meal times, recess, arrival, and dismissal.
  6. Communicate information about schedules and special events to staff.
  7. Establish a plan for teachers/staff who will be absent and ensure substitute coverage.
  8. Serve as the first point of contact for building and parent communication.
  9. Assume a lead role during onsite emergencies and building/student issues.
  10. Distribute, collect, and inventory supplies.
  11. Collect and review staff vouchers.
  12. Participate in meetings and planning days.
  13. Other duties as assigned

 
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
 
Required:

  1. Current Minnesota Teaching or K-12 Counseling License.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  4. Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
  5. Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
