East Grand Forks School District is seeking applicants for an Elementary Instructor (Grades K-2). 

East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 8,500 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district’s K-12 enrollment is approximately 1900 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have earned a B.A. or B.S. degree and current Minnesota State Elementary Education (K-6 or 1-6) licensure, or ability to obtain said licensure.
Candidate must possess highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability work harmoniously with a wide range of students, families, and staff members.
Additional demonstrated qualifications include: commitment to the equitable education of all students; creative planning and organizational skills, and experience working with and celebrating diverse learners.

Reporting Relationship:
The elementary instructor reports directly to the Building Principal.

Basic Function of the Position:
The elementary instructor will be given the great responsibility of continuing our long standing commitment to academic excellence by playing a composite role in nurturing the academic, social and emotional growth of their students during their formative years.

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate educator to join our team an Elementary Instructor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in elementary education.
1. Planning, preparing and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of elementary students
2. Designing and implementing curriculum that aligns with the educational standards and goals.
3. Establishing and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and consistent with the maturity and interests of the students.
4. Administering different forms of assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding and communicate the results to supervisors and parents.
5. Responsible for differentiating instruction to meet the unique need and abilities of all students
6. Parent communication regarding student progress.
7. Working collaboratively with other teachers, administration and support staff to create an effective educational environment.
