Position Overview: ElementaryBehavior Interventionist
Hours/Day: 8 hrs/day 8:10-4:10
Day/Year: 177
Compensation/benefits: Unaffiliated Contract
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support students’ academic achievement, retention, and attendance by working directly with student support services, administration, teachers, community organizations and families
- Assist in facilitation of communication between school and student’s families
- Work with district & site leaders to establish student programming that is designed to help students successfully navigate ISD 191 school
- Serve as a liaison to parents
- Partner with school staff to program for school intiatives with academics and behavior.
Qualifications:
- Preferred bilingual fluency with Somali or Spanish language, oral and written fluency required
- BA degree in Education, Social Work, Special Education preferred
