Position Overview:
Educational Assistant Level IV- Special Education (Extended School Year – ECSE)

Special Education Teacher (Extended School Year – ECSE)
 

  • June 24 – Summer School Workshop
  • June 25 – Summer School Prep

 Service Dates:

  • Week 1:  July 8 – 11
  • Week 2:  July 15-18
  • Week 3:  July 22-25

Program Hours:

  • Staff Hours During ESY: 8:30-12:00
  • Student Contact Hours: 9:00-11:30

Compensation/benefits: Per Unit Agreement

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide support to ECSE special education students. Work under the direction of special educators to reinforce instructional strategies, provide behavior support, and assist with personal care in all school environments. Work as a team member to implement IEP based instructional goals and adaptations including assistive technology. Collect student data and third party billing record documentation. Promote inclusion and self sufficiency of students in the school community.
 
Qualifications:
Must meet highly qualified standards as defined by the state 
Completion of AA degree, 60 college level credits or completion of para-pro exam 
Completion of a pre-employment physical is also required.

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District One91 is a dynamic and innovative suburban public school district serving approximately 8,000 students. The District includes 8 elementary schools with kindergarten through grade 5 (some with voluntary pre-kindergarten programs), two middle schools with grades 6-8, one high school with grades 9-12 and one alternative high school. The District also includes one of the most extensive Community Education programs in the state, serving newborns up through senior citizens.
