EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER
EARLY CHILDHOOD FAMILY EDUCATION (ECFE)
COMMUNITY EDUCATIONUp to 24 hours/week, (27 weeks/year + 4 weeks in June)

September – June
Fall Quarter – September 16 – December 13 (11 weeks)
Winter/Spring Quarter – January 13 – May 16 (16 weeks)
Summer Quarter – June 3 – 25 (T/W only, 4 weeks)
Plus special events, field trips, prep and screening opportunities

Master Contract Schedule

Position Available:
August 19 – 23, 6 hours per day of training/curriculum development, August 26-29 – All Staff District Welcome Back Week (various hours per day that week), September 4-13 various hours for classroom preparation, September 16 – classes begin/regular hours.

Qualifications:
A license in Early Childhood Education is required. One to two years of experience in an ECFE program is preferred. Possess a love for young children and their parents, excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience working with the Creative Curriculum/Teaching Strategies GOLD Assessment, Classroom Engagement Model, MTSS, and the Pyramid Model a plus.

General Nature of Job:
Provide safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children and their families ages 0-5 years. Develop, plan and prepare age appropriate curriculum. Record and assess children’s developmental progress. Provide an environment in which children and their caregivers, including those with special needs, may interact with their peers, and participate in developmentally activities. Communicate with parents and interact with families at program events and field trips. Maintain a team relationship with educational assistants and the Parent Educator, in addition to other Early Learning Staff. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
