Early Childhood (Preschool) Teacher

• Preschool teacher working with 3, 4 & 5 year old students
• Assignment involves teaching a preschool class
  • Highly diverse classroom that serves general education
  • Collaborative teaming with general education classroom assistant
  • Some night events are required
• Ready to Advance Curriculum and TS Gold Assessment
• ECFE/School Readiness/VPK programs are 4 Star Parent Aware Rated
• Position may be in a half day program

Requirements:

• Candidates must hold a current MN teaching license in early childhood
• Candidates should have experience working with diverse cultures
• Candidates must be able to use basic software programs like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and be able to learn district student management systems.

Preference:

• Knowledge in early childhood assessments and curriculum
• Knowledge of SMART and Pyramid Model desired – not required

Annual Salary Range is according to education and experience (includes a competitive benefits package of paid time off, health insurance, life insurance, etc.) according to the AEA Working Agreement located within the Human Resource section of the Austin Public Schools website at www.austin.k12.mn.us.
