Job Summary: 
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavior analysis services and behavior management plans for students who are receiving support through the Multi-tiered System of Supports (Tiers 2 and 3). The BCBA will also be responsible for providing professional development opportunities for certified and non-certified Monticello Public Schools staff, and participate in district level committees. Provides consultative and direct instructional and behavioral support services to students/staff in order to provide positive ways for working successfully with students who have difficulties conforming to acceptable behavior patterns. Actively participates in the development and implementation of programs, policies and practices relative to the management of students’ problematic behaviors. The Behavior Analyst also provides in-service and on-site training to staff on implementation of appropriate instructional strategies, behavior management, behavior intervention plans and 504 plans as appropriate. Licensure and Experience:

  • Acceptable graduate degree from an accredited university, completion of acceptable graduate coursework in behavior analysis, and a defined period of supervised practical experience to apply for the BCBA exam. 
  • OR an acceptable graduate degree, a full-time faculty position in behavior analysis that includes research and teaching, and supervised practical experience to apply for the BCBA exam. 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as BCBA Preferred experience in K-12 educational setting.
