Costume Designer – SMS Spring Play

Job Description:
Works with a group of students to:

• Know the show and all characters (as well as each character’s costume needs)
• Measure all cast members for costumes
• Research historical period of the production to ensure that costumes are time period appropriate
• Find, make, buy all pieces
• Oversee costume fittings and alterations
• Collaborate with lighting desginer, set designer, and set painter to achieve a cohesive color scheme
• Organize costumes, dressing rooms, stage left, stage right, and all quick changes
• Teach kids how to wear and use their costumes
• Make sure everyone has the correct shoes for their costumes
• Wash and store all costumes at strike

Pay Schedule: Based on Extra-Curricular, Co-Curricular and Other Activity Assignments Schedule
