Community Education Summer Recreation Staff

Positions/Responsibilities:

  T-Ball/Toss Ball/Soccer Coach

• Position Description-Teach students ages 4-5 (Toss Ball), ages 6-7 (T-Ball), and ages 5-10 (Soccer) the fundamentals and rules of the games of baseball, softball, and soccer
• Work Hours: Two hours 2 times per week in the evening for each activity

Youth Baseball & Softball Umpires

• Observes game play closely, makes judgment calls based on the application of game rules, and assesses any required penalties according to established regulations. Ensures teams and individuals follow all safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience volunteering or working with children ages 4-10.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 14 years of age or older
• Desire to work with children ages 4-10
• Knowledge of the basic rules and fundamental skills, or interest in researching, the games of softball, baseball, and soccer
• Reliable method to get to and from your job
• Availability that fits the scheduled times of the position(s) you are applying for
• Demonstrated qualities of responsibility, leadership, and reliability
• Ability to take initiative to solve problems

Dependent on position
