Job:Â Â Child Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS) Therapist – 1.0 FTE
Two Positions available: Hayes Elementary and Fridley Middle School
Job Summary: Â
The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic support to students facing emotional and behavioral challenges within the school environment. This role plays a crucial role in enhancing students’ part in fostering students’ social emotional, social, emotional and academic well, and academic success.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Individual and Group Therapy:
-
Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and community
-
Provide individual and group resources to support students facing challenges
-
Provide therapy sessions to students per their treatment plans
-
Participate in ongoing professional training and development to remain current with best practices in therapy and school-based mental health support
Â
Conduct Assessment and Evaluation:
-
Perform comprehensive assessments to identify students’ assessments to identify students’ emotional and behavioral needs

Develop and implement individualized behavioral health

Develop Treatment Plans in collaboration with school staff that align with students’ goals and educational plans

Engage with families to involve them in the therapeutic process, provide resources, and promote their understanding of mental health issues affecting their children

Crisis Intervention:

Provide immediate support and crisis intervention for students experiencing behavioral or emotional crises
-
Respond to and manage crisis situations involving students, providing immediate support and developing safety plans with the team as necessary
Â
Documentation and Reporting:
-
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress, treatment plans, and communications with families and school personnel, adhering to legal and ethical standards
Â
Qualifications:
-
Valid license or certification as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., LICSW, LPC, LMFT)

Experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting, preferably within a school environment

Strong knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and therapeutic interventions
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations, including students, families, and school staff

Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive school culture
-
Experience with trauma-informed care and culturally responsive practices
-
Familiarity with CTSS regulations and funding sources
