Cheer Coach, Varsity Assistant

Lakeville Area Schools Community Education is seeking a Cheer coach for the fall/winter season for our varsity competition team!

Lakeville Cheerleading strives to create a positive, safe and fun environment for student athletes to grow mentally and physically.  
 

Season Schedule: 

• Days/Dates: Tuesdays/Thursdays, May 13, 2024 – March 17, 2025
  • Competitions are generally on Saturdays, with having 7-10 competition dates total throughout the season.
• Hours: Practice will run for 2 hours in the evening, time TBD.

Qualifications: 

• Cheerleading expericne in either High School Cheer (competitive) or College 
• Strong communication skills 
• Good time management 
• Coaches must also be available to respond to questions in a timely manner
• Must be high energy, enjoy working with high school aged students.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare athletes for the current & college level by making sure proper technique is being taught and drilled for each skill.
• Creative a positive, encouraging environment where athletes feel welcome and a part of a family of cheerleaders. 
• Keeping all athletes safe by working at proper progression and having spots as needed.
• Set and implement program wide practice expectations for being a student athlete in Lakeville Cheerleading. 

Wage: Stipend for Competition Season
