Benson Public School is in search of a dedicated full-time high school Science teacher to join our team for the 2024-25 academic year. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is deeply committed to teaching and eager to invigorate our science program.

Job Summary: The 6-12 Biology Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Science courses to high school and middle school students. The successful candidate will maintain accurate records of students' grades and attendance, actively participate in curriculum development and enhancement, adhere to school district policies and procedures, engage in ongoing professional development, and support the Principal with student supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science courses to high school and middle students, ensuring the curriculum is stimulating and meets the needs of all learners.
  • Maintain precise records of students' grades and attendance, utilizing the school's designated systems.
  • Adhere to all rules and procedures established by the Benson Public School District, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Engage fully in staff development activities, including attending in-service sessions, staff meetings, and departmental work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on committees and during parent-teacher conference nights to support student success and parental involvement.
  • Support the Principal with student supervision duties.
