Band Teacher – Long-term Substitute – Grades 6-8

Position Title: Band Teacher – Long-term Substitute – Grades 6-8 – Middle School
Immediate Supervisor:  Building Principal        
1.0 FTE 
TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT, beginning August 26, 2024 through December 20, 2024

Teaching Assignment:
 – 6th Grade SEL with Top 20 Curriculum
 – 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Band Classes
 – 6th and 7th Grade Band Lessons

Two Concerts:
End of October – 7th & 8th Grade Band Concert (date TBD)
Mid-December – 6th Grade Band Concert (date TBD)

Qualifications:
• Must possess MN Certification in music education
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Music teaching experience preferred

Additional stipend available for MS Jazz Band:
– Meets before school once a week (usually Wednesdays)
– Tunes and Treats Concert w/HS Jazz Band on Monday December 16th
