Assistant Pool Manager Job Description
 

  1. Reports to the Community Education Director, working under the general supervision of the Pool Manager.

 

  1. Responsibilities include but are not limited to enforcing policies and procedures, which ensure effective operations of pool and facilities including personnel management, and training. 

 

  1. Assists with staff selection and recommendation to the Community Education Director or Superintendent.

 

  1. Oversee and maintain the staff/site schedule. Assist in coordinating staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures under the general supervision of the Pool Manager.

 

  1. Provide information and assistance to guests and staff, including promptly addressing patron complaints and concerns.

 

  1. Responsible for overseeing student safety. Assists with ensuring that all students are instructed in accordance with American Red Cross standards, tested and placed in their proper class or classification and accurately tested at lesson completion.

 

  1. Assists with paperwork (Red Cross forms, accident forms, time sheets, daily money receipts, etc.) to ensure it is completed and filed in a timely manner.

 

  1. Assist with purchasing facility supplies and concession stand products.

     

  2. Assists in the collection, verification, and preparation of deposits for all revenues received. Makes recommendations to the Pool Manager for budget considerations.

 

  1. Participate in the maintenance of swimming pool facilities, making sure the pool is kept safe and clean for patron use. Ensure the pool facilities comply with relevant health and safety regulations; ensure that pumps and related mechanical devices are functioning properly.

 

  1. Provides daily coverage while the pool is open and operating. Willing to be available at any time the pool is open and works with the Pool Manager to ensure the pool is covered with adequate personnel at all times. Available when problems occur, or higher than normal patron loads are anticipated.
