Assistant Dance Coach

The Byron High School Dance program is loooking for a Varsity Assistant coach for the 2024-2025 school year: 

Responsibilities:

• Program development grades 7-12, lends support to the Activities Department and to the vision and mission of the district. 
• Assists with pre-season meetings with parents, athletes and coaches as well as in-season staff and athlete meetings. 
• Coordinate ordering of Dance items and any fundraisers with Head Coach. 

Qualifications: 

• Must be able to relate to student-athletes in a positive manner and be a good role model.
• Experience as a coach or as a participant in the sport. 

Required Dispositions:

• Builder of strong, positive relationships with all stakeholder groups, including collaboration between the Byron Dance and Byron Booster Club.
• High energy, innovative, and an effective communicator.
• Caring role model, excellent knowledge of the game and skills.
• Believes that all athletes can attain high levels of play.
• Possesses the knowledge and skills to build effective educational eperiences that benefit all students. 
• Functions as an effective member of the educational/school team.
• Possessses a growth-mindset, strong listening skills, and provides atheltes opportunities to be involved in the community.
