JobTitle: Aquatics Assistant Instructor

Do you have experience in an aquatics program and want to use your talents at the next level? The Aquatics Assistant Instructor will be responsible for the following duties which will include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting Community Education customers and responding to questions related to swim instruction
  • Assisting lifeguards and swim instructors with preparation for swim lessons
  • Addressing behavioral needs of the participants
  • Opening pool area and securing the building at the end of lessons
  • Working closely with custodians and program staff to ensure all needs are met for the program  

Job Requirements: Current American Red Cross Certification in Professional Rescuer or Lifeguard required.  Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification preferred. Training provided for individuals that are not currently certified.  Experience in aquatics program supervision, staff training, programming, swim lesson instruction, computer usage and customer service required.  Must be 18 years or older. 

Start date:  June 1, 2024

Salary: $30.00/hour
