Student success in academics, fine arts and athletics are reasons students and families come to New Ulm. 

We offer an early learning center for preschool and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities and core curriculum. We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory and experiential learning opportunities. Our high school is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational and work ready courses. We have many opportunities for Fine arts and athletics for all students. A Career Technical Education (CTE) Center provides students with opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers and cabinetry.

Agricultural Education Instructor – High School (1.0 FTE) -High School (1.0 FTE)
Will consider a Tier I/II/III 

Job Summary:        
Provide instruction to students in grades 9-12 in the area of Agriculture Education and work in collaboration with Industrial Technology teachers to promote our career pathways program connecting students to essential careers in Agriculture and Industrial Technology. Strong background in using data to drive instruction, working in collaboration with department members through a PLC model, and strong content knowledge desired. 

The certified teacher develops lesson plans, conducts classroom instruction, evaluates, and assesses both instructional material and student performance. The teacher interprets student progress and communicates regularly with parents about student strengths, weaknesses and/or programs. The teacher is a member of an interdisciplinary team and works collaboratively with colleagues to make decisions about team programming and supporting students through intervention and enrichment. 
            
Qualifications:                                   
Qualified candidate should have a general background in Agri-science, Ag related technology and construction, and a variety of other Ag-related skills Recent graduates from a certified teaching program are encouraged to apply.

Minnesota Teacher licensure in Agricultural Education required.                         
Will consider a Tier one/two/three license.

Desired Qualifications:

Possess a varied skill set, which may include Agriculture related classes as well as, Welding, Small Engine, Woods, Metals (Fabrication), Computer Technology (CAD, Chief Architect, Programming and others), Building Construction, Robotics, Science, Economics and much more.
