Adult Basic Education Educational Assistant

Position Information:

• Part-time 
• Adult Education Center 
• Start date: August 14
• Pay range: $15.27-$19.42/hr
• Approximately 20 hours a week (8:15-1:45, M-Th)
• Working with students 17 and over who are learning English 
• Assist teacher with classroom instruction, one-on-one instruction, and small group instruction.
• Assist students individually or in a group for the purpose of reinforcing learning concepts taught by certified teacher.
• Provide general classroom support; making copies of classroom material; help with attendance.
• Work as a team member with other professionals. 
• Attend training workshops and other school meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Good communication skills
• Works well with a diverse group of people
• Flexible with job assignments
• Bilingual preferred but not required
