Activities and Recreation Coordinator

1.0 FTE Position (260 day contract)
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Community Director and the district’s Activities Director, the Activities and Recreation Coordinator will assist with the developing, planning, and evaluating all recreation programs. The Activities and Recreation Coordinator is also responsible for facility use and scheduling.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Community Education, Parks and Recreation or similar field.
- Valid MN drivers license without restrictions.
- Bi-Lingual is preferred
Experience:
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in community education or parks and recreation is preferred.

C. Knowledge of best practices in community education and recreation.
D. Skilled in problem analysis, data collection and problem solving.
E. Ability to make decisions and act within the district and program policies, procedures and guidelines.
F. Ability to plan and implement promotional programs.
G. Proficient in creating and maintaining budgets.
H. Ability to work as a team member.
I. Ability to make formal presentations and effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, teachers, other district employees, students, and the general public.
J. Ability to organize, direct and administer programs and personnel.
K. Intermediate computer skills.
