CLASSIFICATION: ROPE-Non Technical, Regular; C-4-5

SALARY: $72,072.85 – $100,901.31 (pro-rated based on start date)

Job Summary:

  • Provide professional development to building teams for 504 process 
  • Conducts classroom observations and provides supervision of staff through the professional growth process. 
  • Recruitment, interviewing, and selection processes for department level personnel.
  • Plans, implements and manages instructional and curriculum programming for Care & Treatment sites. 
  • Provide and promote staff development to improve program compliance with state and federal law and district guidelines. 
  • Actively participate in dispute resolution.  
  • Assists in collaboration with other District Departments. 
  • Analyze, maintain, and provide coaching regarding data systems.  
  • Research and create processes for all federal and state rules and regulations for care and treatment.
  • Provide site supervision of care and treatment sites (SERCC, Prairie Care, Von Wald)
  • Act as the testing coordinator for care and treatment sites. Perform other duties as apparent or assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Principal license
  • Experience 504 process and care & treatment preferred. 
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and listening skills, along with strong interpersonal skills in communicating with staff, students, parents and community. 
  • Preferred experience in leadership activities. 
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Successful experience in working with diverse populations. 
  • Ability to be flexible and to adapt rapidly to changes in daily routines. 
  • Ability to work effectively and fairly with conflicts/issues involving students, staff and parents. 
  • Understanding of state and federal care & treatment rules and federal regulations.

  • Must be willing and able to work in the following conditions: busy, noisy, with consistent interruptions. 
  • Ability to perform the following actions continuously: sitting, walking, using hands dexterously, talking, hearing.
  • Ability to perform the following actions occasionally: lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds, reaching, running, stooping, standing, bending, crouching, walking. 
  • Must be willing and able to clean up bodily fluids in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Employee is exposed to infection at a greater risk than the average employee.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license where travel among the district buildings and outside of the district occurs on a regular, ongoing basis.
