Waubun-Ogema-White Earth District #435 is seeking an Academic Intervention Teacher for Grades 4-6 for the 2024-2025 school year. 

The Academic Interventionist Teacher will provide small group instruction and interventions to students requiring additional support, offering in-class interventions as needed.  This role involves collaborating with teachers to develop interventions and individualized plans, utilizing evidence-based strategies for instruction, and collecting and analyzing student data to monitor growth. The ability to perform multiple tasks and adapt skills to meet changing job conditions, possess pedagogical and content knowledge for upper elementary and middle school subjects, understand evidence-based practices for academic interventions, and demonstrate the ability to build and maintain relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians. Effective communication skills, proficiency in analyzing student achievement and growth data, and competence in using various technology platforms effectively are also required.

Supervision of Other Employees:

This position does not supervise other District employees.

Working Environment:

  • Collaborate with the Title 1 Teacher and classroom teachers to implement interventions.

Education:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree with a valid Minnesota teaching license.

Licensure:

  • Current Minnesota Elementary Education License (K-6) required.

Experience:

  • Experience or training in working with students in academic areas.
