Summary
Description
Under the direction of the Summer School Principal and Summer School Teacher(s) you will be required to work independently with small groups of 5-8 students in reading and math, organize learning materials, follow through on lessons and activities developed by the teacher, and assist with discipline.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to handle children’s behavior problems in a constructive way
- Ability to work cooperatively with an education team
- Successful experience in working with elementary children
- Experience as a Title I Instructional Assistant or Paraprofessional
Expectations:
An understanding that there is a commitment to the whole summer school session barring unforeseen circumstances.
Dates of Employment:
June 17, 18, 20 (No school on Juneteenth), June 24-27, & July 8-11, 2024  (Monday – Thursday — 8:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.)
2 additional hours prior to summer school for collaboration with classroom teacher
Estimated Total Hours = 40.5
Salary:
$22.00 per hourÂ
