Salary: $40.00/hour

Summer Program Dates:  
Program dates 7/08/2024 through 8/01/2024   
Additional prep time for planning, coordinating, and driving vision of the program begins in March. 

Programming runs Monday through Thursday. Pre-program professional development and site meetings will be held prior to the start of the first session and will be time above and beyond the 5.5 hours per day during the program. Applicants chosen for an interview will be asked to provide a completed camp proposal form attached to the posting. Ideas for camps and an example of a completed template are also available in that link. You are able to submit a proposal for a 2 or 4 week camp of your choice. *Limited positions available due to reduction in grant funding. There will be a selection and interview process this year. 

Teacher Hours: 
Schedule for pre-summer professional development and meetings will be determined by middle of May 2024.
Program hours are 8:00am-1:00pm depending on building placement with an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour of prep time each day. 

Position Summary:
Seeking teacher leaders interested in utilizing new, creative, and innovative ways to support student achievement through the development of an elementary summer camp learning model or our engaging middle school model including a Genius Hour. Program will focus on whole student growth and success, building and strengthening strong relationships with students and their families, and supporting social emotional learning. Will be opportunity for some curriculum development and more influence in teaching content. Pre-summer training, prep time, and meetings will be paid time; professional development and program design created in partnership with Student Support Services and Teaching & Learning.  

Performs intermediate administrative work planning, developing and leading the summer school programming staff and schedule, managing daily site operations and supporting teachers in providing quality instruction to students, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Out of School Time Coordinator.

Education and /or Experience:  
BA/BS degree and Middle school experience preferred.

Special Requirements:
MN Teaching License required
