The goal of ASP/SS is to align project-based learning with the day-to-day standards being taught to students at CSE. This program is voluntary for students in grades 2-12 and is supported by school administrators, and ASP Coordinator, and a PBIS behavior coach.The ASP Teacher will be responsible for creating lesson plans, supervising students, and duties as assigned. Under the direction of the principal, this position works extensively with small groups of struggling students to help them improve specific reading and math concepts & skills. This person also substitutes for teachers when the teachers are absent.
The Math teacher will provide instruction and supervision for secondary grade-level students. The Math teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Math curriculum according to the school’s program objectives to students; conducting instruction that is coherent, purposeful, and engaging; continually assessing student development and performance; preparing and providing feedback on student progress to students and families.
The teacher will provide an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, psychological, and social growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing instructional programs that result in academic success in accordance with the school mission, vision, programs, and policies.
The English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the English Language Learning program. The ELL Teacher works closely with faculty to build teachers’ expertise in instructing students who are English Language learners; works directly with students to support their learning needs; and communicates frequently with families providing them with information about language and literacy development and their students’ progress.
