Under the direction of the principal, this position works extensively with small groups of struggling students to help them improve specific reading and math concepts & skills. This person also substitutes for teachers when the teachers are absent.

The Math teacher will provide instruction and supervision for secondary grade-level students. The Math teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Math curriculum according to the school’s program objectives to students; conducting instruction that is coherent, purposeful, and engaging; continually assessing student development and performance; preparing and providing feedback on student progress to students and families.

The teacher will provide an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, psychological, and social growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing instructional programs that result in academic success in accordance with the school mission, vision, programs, and policies.

HCPA is a Title I Charter School that serves students through a school-wide plan for instruction that is focused on the needs of at-risk students. The High School Earth and Space Science Teacher is Responsible for instructing High School students from grades (9-12).  Create a flexible classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth.  Instruct students in courses of study such as reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, and science.
