Qualifications/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Need to be 21 years in age and have had a driver license for at least 1 year. 
Successful background check required.
Previous working with children is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Successful candidates must be able to work split shift; have skills and aptitude to operate a vehicle safely; enjoy the presence of children; be reliable and punctual.
No experience required – paid training provided to obtain necessary license and endorsements. DOT Physical and drug testing are required.
* Van Drivers will have the ability to receive training to obtain their Commercial Drivers License and bus endorcement. This would allow them to move into a bus driving position if desired. 

Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty. 

Specific Tasks:
To safely and efficiently transport students to and from their school site and/or special events. Most Drivers depart approximately 6:00am and return about 9:00am and depart again approximately 1:30pm and return around 4:30pm in the afternoon.

Hours per day:
4-6 hours per day.
As per Bus Driver Agreement

Route Driver Hourly Rate: $23.50/hour, Activity/Dept Hourly Rate: $19.50/hour
 

May become benefit eligible if combined with other positions.
