Job Title: Elementary Title I Paraeducator

Location: Breckenridge Elementary School

Reports To: Title I Coordinator/Principal

Position Overview:

Breckenridge Public School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Title I Paraeducator at Breckenridge Elementary.. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, administrators, and students to support academic achievement, particularly in literacy and mathematics, for students who qualify for Title I services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students under the direction of the Title I coordinator and classroom teachers.

  • Assist with the implementation of instructional programs and materials to support student learning in reading and math.

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers to identify and address the needs of students who are at risk of falling behind academically.

  • Assist in the preparation and organization of instructional materials and resources for the intervention activities.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions as required.

  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred or pass the ParaPro test.

  • Experience working with elementary-age children in an educational setting is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children.

  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team.

 

Employment Terms:

  • Position follows the school calendar with a daily schedule from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

  • Opportunities for additional hours before or after this time may be available.

  • Compensation is based on experience and qualifications $17.50 to $18.75 hourly
