Job Summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning.  Provide academic and/or social- emotional learning instruction and interventions in the curriculum area or program for which employed; design, deliver and assess curriculum according to district guideline; work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver instruction and interventions, when applicable; write and implement individual scholar goals and objectives as identified by data; monitor the fidelity of interventions, and collaborate with administrators to utilize data to identify scholars for intervention services; maintain contact and communication with guardians/caregivers of scholars, working with them in the development of their scholar; initiate and sustain collaboration within and across departments, programs, and sites to improve achievement; make appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies; support and implement the goals and objectives of the School Improvement Plan (SIP), district, program and department; provide in-person, synchronous and asynchronous learning when applicable.  Willing to participate in district, building, and department leadership activities. This position will focus on Science.

Academic Support Teacher
 
Minimum qualifications include: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Elementary Education
  • MN teaching license in appropriate field, OR a valid MN teaching license in another field and willing to obtain an Out of Field Permission.*
  • If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2.*
