Description
The Richfield Public School District has openings (based upon enrollment) for the Elementary 2023 Summer Program. Newcomer Academy EL Teachers will be providing English language development instruction to students who are currently in grades K-4 (rising 1st-5th graders) and in their first and second year of US schooling. Elementary Summer Programming will be located at R-STEM. Student hours at R-STEM are 8:00-2:00, Monday through Thursday. Staff hours are 7:45-2:15.

Week 1:Â June 20-June 22
Week 2:Â June 26-June 29
Week 3: July 10-July 13
Week 4:Â July 17-July 20
*no summer programming the week of July 4th

*** To support the 1st – 5th summer program teaching staff, professional development will be provided on June 14th and 15th. Staff are expected to attend and will be compensated for these professional development dates. Additional paid time for newcomer program development and materials procurement will be offered.Â

Requirements:Â
 -Current ESL Teaching LicenseÂ
Â
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience teaching elementary summer programs
-Experience utilizing data to inform instruction
-Experience with team teaching
Â
Licensed Summer Program Teachers will be paid $37.50/hr.
