Position Summary:
Provide classroom supplemental support for migrant students, focusing on credit accrual and recovery for secondary students. This position will primarily provide this support online and will include collaborating with at least one other teacher, who is located at the school, to support credit recovery and accrual. Teachers need to commit to 1 week of planning and 5 weeks of instruction. The only absences that will be approved during this time are for illness. Hiring is dependent on enrollment.
Qualifications:
Valid MN Teaching License required. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish and experience serving underserved youth and strong Reading and/or English Language background desired. Current Owatonna Public School District employee preferred. Consistent and reliable attendance.
Schedule:
- Professional development / Planning and Prep: June 20 – 22, 2023
- Student Contact: June 26 – July 27, 2023.
- Monday-Thursday
- Student Days Run 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Teacher Schedule 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM
