Substitute Paraprofessional

Qualifications:
  * Required education and training: 2 years of college or meets the requirements of a “highly qualified” paraprofessional as defined in Federal law through the ParaPro or Paraeducator assessment
  * Flexibility and the ability to work as a cooperative team member
  * Regular, on-time attendance is required.
  * Physical requirement:  must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Stooping and bending required.

Paraprofessional Job Summary:

• Assisting teachers in their teaching duties and other general responsibilities
• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher
• Monitors special education students for the purpose of providing a safe, successful and positive learning environment
• Supervising students during drop off and pick up as well as recess and lunch
