Student Support Paraprofessional

Hours:  3.5 hours (11:00-2:30)
Class: IV (Starting pay is $20.81 per hour)
Duration: Temporary (approximately 30 days)

Position Description:
The person in this position will be responsible for providing behavioral support during the school day, and may also include lunch/recess supervision when necessary. Duties include small group work, assisting students who demonstrate a need for social/emotional/behavior support, active supervision of students in the cafeteria and on the playground, etc. This position will be under the direction of the Principal and Student Support Specialist.

Qualifications:
• Experience working with young children, preferably in a school environment
• Ability to take direction
• Ability to multitask and supervise students in an environment that is highly engaging. 
• Flexibility, patience and a proven ability to take direction and feedback
