School Age Child Care (SACC) Program Aide 

 

Looking for a summer job?  Do you enjoy working with elementary-age children?  Are you responsible, motivated, and reliable?  Perfect job to be done nightly by 6 pm, and no weekends!  If you are considering a career with youth or in education; this is a nice way to get hands-on experience, and additionally it looks fantastic on future college or job applications. 

 

Required:

Be a minimum of 15.5 years old to apply.

Be responsible, motivated, and reliable, and work well with children, parents/guardians, and staff.

Attend all annual training dates in June, pass CPR training and other MDH training requirements.  

Complete an additional state NetStudy background check (required by MN Departments of Human Services for all childcare staff).  

 

Preferred:

Experience with school-age children is advantageous.

 

Role:

Assist staff in maintaining a safe, positive, and healthy childcare environment.  

Positive attitude and energy, exhibits patience and empathy, communication and listening skills, maintains confidentiality, creative thinking, ability to engage children in play, organizes and maintains care environment, and acts as a responsible and positive role model.  

 

Duties Include:

Responsible for assisting in day-to-day program, safety, activities, behavior, family communication, and assisting program staff. 

 

Rate of pay:  $13 per hour

Hours: Part-time or less hours, vary Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6 pm.
