East Grand Forks Senior High is currently seeking applications for a High School STEM elective teacher for the School Year 2023-24 and beyond. Desired candidates may have a background in teaching Science, Mathematics, and/or Technology Education (CTE or Industrial technology). Courses taught by the STEM teacher are designed to be hands-on and apply STEM concepts to real world scenarios. The STEM elective teacher works closely with our Career Academy Coordinator to provide students with opportunities to explore STEM related careers. If hired, professional development opportunities, such as Project Lead the Way training, is available. No special licenses are required.

Other preferred qualifications include; ability to communicate and connect with students and families; team building skills; the ability to collaborate with staff; and possessing positive interpersonal skills. Various coaching and extra-curricular positions are also available.

East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 9,000 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district’s K-12 enrollment is approximately 1,850 students and there are four separate school buildings housing grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.
