Position Description:Â St. Francis Area Schools is hiring an SLP for the 2024-2025 school year to provide therapy and case management for students at St. Francis Elementary School.
As an SLP in our district, you will be on a team of 10 SLPs that work very collaboratively to meet the needs of our students. You will have an SLP mentor, and a SLP professional learning community. You will have opportunities to collaborate with fellow SLPs weekly as well as during a 1.5 hour late start once each month. You will also be a part of very supportive special education team. Each building also has a lead special education teacher to assist with student scheduling and general troubleshooting. Caseloads are very manageable.
Qualifications:Â Minnesota Teacher Licensure as an Educational Speech Language Pathologist. This position requires that the candidate have their Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language. Candidates will be considered who are eligible to obtain a Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Job Duties: Â
- Provide direct instruction to students in the areas of speech and communication as outlined in their IEPs.
- Consult with other staff members on the successful implementation of communication strategies and assistive devices within the educational setting.
- Complete speech/communication assessment on identified students.
- Complete the written documents related to speech services (IEPs, Evaluation Reports, Progress Reports, etc.).
- Attend and sometimes facilitate IEP meetings for assigned students.
- Provide case management services for assigned students.
- Complete Third Party Billing documentation for MA eligible students

District Information:Â St. Francis Area Schools – ISD #15 is located in northern Anoka County and southern Isanti County. We are a 45 minute drive from Minneapolis and a great traffic-free drive from every direction. We are a rural/suburban district, covering 165 square miles. Our buildings include an early childhood family center, three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and other non-traditional secondary programs. Our school district annually educates more than 4,100 students. The district has ten Speech and Language Pathologists serving across all sites.
