Description
Red Rock Central PK-12 school is seeking a passionate, caring speech pathologist to evaluate and treat students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade with various speech, language, and communication disorders.
Job Responsibilities:
– Evaluate students referred for speech and language testing through formal and informal assessments
– Diagnose speech disorders and delays related to articulation, fluency, voice, and language
– Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students based on evaluation results
– Provide individual and small group therapy sessions aimed at improving students' speech and communication skills
– Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
– Maintain accurate and detailed records on caseload and document students' progress
– Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, special education staff, and administrators to ensure optimal care
– Stay current on speech pathology best practices and introduce new evidence-based interventions when appropriate
Required Qualifications:
– Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology
– Knowledge of typical speech and language development in children
– Experience evaluating and treating speech and language disorders
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
– Public school experience
– Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
