Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – 1.0 FTE – Early Intervention B-3

Description:
Shakopee Public Schools is looking for a 1.0 FTE Speech/Language Pathologist to join the Early Intervention (birth-age 3) Special Education team. The Early Intervention Team’s primary worksite is Pearson Early Learning Center. This position works on a stretch calendar July 1 to June 30. The position is open immediately. 

Job Summary:
The Speech/Language Pathologist will join the Early Intervention (birth-age 3) Special Education Team. The person in this position will screen for and conduct evaluations for speech/language disorders, complete referral intakes; develop Individual Family Service Plans as part of a team member; deliver services to children and their families in multiple settings including home visits, classroom collaborations with ECFE, child care, in a primary service provider model. The Early Intervention Team is participating in an EQIP (Evidence-based Quality Intervention Practices) Innovation with training and support provided by BrightWorks, a Minnesota Center of Excellence for Young Children with Disabilities. 

Qualifications:

• Valid MN Speech/Language Pathologist teaching license
• Previous experience preferred
• Experience with service delivery models in Early Childhood Special Education and Early Intervention
• Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents, and staff

Working Conditions: 
Classroom, office, lifting, sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, keyboarding, etc.
