1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute (LTS) – Special Education Resource Teacher for Jackson Elementary School. Tentative assignment start date April 29, 2025 through June 6, 2025.Â
Job Summary:
Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in the areas of academic and social, emotional and behavior skills in a resource room setting, monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork;Â communicate effectively with families and staff; develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans, direct the work of paraprofessional(s).
Provide instruction in content area in accordance with each student’s ability, create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establish effective working relationships with students and parents, works collaboratively with other staff members.
Education/Training/Experience:
- Valid MN teaching licensure in Special Education;Â the District may consider a Tier 1 or Tier 2 licensed candidates
- Experience working with a variety of disabilities, and the ability to deliver specialized instruction to meet the individual needs of these students
- Preference to experience supporting students with EBD, ASD and/or OHD
- Training for specific needs of the students in the program will be provided by the district
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction

Salary can range anywhere between $50,000 to $118,444 depending upon education level and experience.
